School Site Council

Chemawa School Site Council

According to education law, every school must have an active School Site Council. This council is composed of parents, teachers, staff and students. Members are elected by their respective group. for example students elect the student representatives, and teachers elect the teacher representatives.

This important council is responsible for overseeing the development of the Chemawa School Plan and monitoring its successful implementation. This group also oversees the school improvement budget and advises the principal regarding matters of importance to Chemawa.

Chemawa School Site Council Meetings are held once a month. Parents, students, staff and the public are invited to attend and give input.
